Gypsum provides curbside trash pick-up on Monday through Friday. Trash containers need to be set out by 7:00 AM. Unsure which day your trash is picked up? Please call 970-401-4895 to verify.   

2025/2026 Holiday Trash Schedule

• Thanksgiving Day, 11/27/25
  Thursday customers will be serviced the day before on 11/26/25, and Friday customers will be serviced on 12/1/25.
• Christmas Day 12/25/25
  Thursday and Friday will be serviced on 12/26/25, and all other customers will remain on regular schedule days.
• New Year's Day 1/1/26
  Thursday and Friday will be serviced on 1/2/26, and all other customers will remain on regular schedule days.
• Martin Luther King Day, 1/19/26
  Monday and Tuesday will be serviced on 1/20/26, and all other customers will remain on regular schedule days.
• President's Day, 2/16/26
  Monday and Tuesday will be serviced on 2/17/26, and all other customers will remain on regular scheduled days.

Curbside Trash Pickup Reminders 

• Trash containers must be Town of Gypsum-issued. The 90-gallon residential containers are available for a $110.00 user fee plus, $26.70 per pickup, per month. Bear-resistant containers are also available for a $110 user fee plus $38.60 per pickup, per month.
• Trash containers must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. The arrow on the container lid must point toward the street. Please remove containers from the curb within 24 hours after pickup. 
• Trash must be placed in the container. Trash left on the ground or that is too large for the container will not be picked up and is the homeowner’s responsibility.  
• Lids on the containers must be closed. Trash will not be picked up if the lid is open. 
• Please keep vehicles and other objects from blocking trash containers. Containers must be 3 feet from any object. If the truck cannot reach the container, it will not be picked up. For the safety of our drivers, we ask that they remain inside their vehicle while providing trash pick-up services. 
• No construction (wood, drywall, concrete, etc.) or hazardous materials (paint, oil, etc.) may be placed in the container. Motor oil may be recycled at the Gypsum Public Works facility. 
• Additional/oversized trash pickup service is available and will be charged in addition to your monthly fee. Yard waste is an “additional pickup”. Weeds and grass clippings must be bagged. No tree branches are accepted. 
• Senior citizen trash rates available for 65 and over. 
• If you prefer, you may certainly contract with another local trash service provider. 

Please Note: Town of Gypsum curbside trash service is not available in Buckhorn Valley, Sky Legend, Hardscrabble, Brightwater, Stratton Flats, and Quail Run Subdivisions.
