Since 1983, Valley Road has been vibrant with the fun of the Gypsum Daze Parade, drawing hundreds of attendees to the warm family community of Gypsum, CO! It's a tradition filled with fun, culminating in our Gypsum Fire and Airport Trucks hosing down the crowd to keep cool on a hot summer day.  

We welcome any and all organizations to participate in the Parade. This is a great opportunity for your group or business to share your heritage, talents, services, and pride with our community.

PARADE DATE & TIME: Saturday, July 18 Valley Road, 10:00 AM.

PREP & LINEUP: Ridley's Market at 8:15 AM

THEME: Celebrate how far we’ve come! In honor of Colorado’s 150th anniversary and the nation’s 250th, this year’s parade theme, Pioneer to Present, highlights the incredible journey from our rugged pioneer roots to the vibrant, innovative community we are today. From covered wagons and frontier spirit to modern life and future possibilities, each float has the option to showcase a piece of our shared story and how the past continues to shape our future.

PRIZES: 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100.

JUDGING CRITERIA: Creativity, enthusiasm, and adherence to the parade theme.

NOTE: If you are planning to hand out candy or any kind of giveaway from your float, for safety reasons please do not toss the items from the float but rather have people walk beside the float and hand the items to crowd members. We want to prevent the urge for children to run into the street. All giveaways should be appropriate for all-ages. Thank you!
