Apply for Passport

Due to continued COVID-19 health concerns for both employees and the public, Passport Services are by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. These public hours will continue until further notice. To make an appointment for Passport Services, please call 970-524-1752. Please note, passports will not be processed on holidays or the business day before a holiday.  

Applying for a passport can be complicated. The documents necessary to have with you when you apply for a passport depend on many factors or circumstances and the process does take time to complete. To make your trip to the Gypsum Town Hall as efficient as it can be, please be sure to thoroughly review the passport information available on the State's Passport page at www.travel.state.gov, the information available below on this page, and call us to clarify any questions you may still have, we are happy to help.

For your added convenience, the Gypsum Town Hall is open two Saturdays a year for Passport Services.

Adults 18 & over

 TOG Passport Tips

  1. To make your trip to Gypsum as efficient as possible, please do your homework by reviewing all information on this page, as well as at the State's Passport Page, and please call us with any questions before making the trip to Town Hall.  
  2. Wear dark clothes for passport photo
  3. All passport applicants must be present. This includes all minors.
  4. Most renewals can be done by mail MORE INFO

  6. Youth passports ages 16 & 17, it is recommended that one adult be present MORE INFO
  7.  Processing times - Standard passport 6-8 weeks, Expedited 2-3 weeks. If needed quicker than 2 weeks MORE INFO

  9. Two separate payments are needed during your visit to Town Hall.
    1) A Passport Processing fee that may be paid with cash, check, or credit card.
    2) A Passport Fee that may be paid with a check or money order ONLY since it will be mailed with your application to the Department of State.  

Directions to our office:

Take I-70 West or East to Gypsum, CO. Take EXIT 140 and travel south through the roundabout continuing under the railroad tracks. Turn right onto Valley Road. Approximately 400 yards on the left is the entrance to town our town square. Town Hall is the center building.
