Sales Tax
The total sales tax collected on purchases in the Town of Gypsum is 8.4%
The breakdown of this tax is as follows:
Gypsum Sales Tax 4% + Eagle County Sales Tax 1.5% + State of Colorado Sales Tax 2.9% = 8.4%
All businesses operating within the Town of Gypsum must pay the 4% directly to the Town as we self-collect our portion of the sales tax. Self-collection has been enacted in order to enable the town to more efficiently and accurately process our portion of the sales tax. In addition, self-collection of sales tax makes funds readily available for Town use.
